Nursery Coming Together

It's been another adventurous week for the Gasper family. Matt has become obsessed with the nursery, but it is cute. He wants to make sure everything is perfect for his boy. We had originally planned on painting the walls white with baby blue trimming, but we changed our minds. Now the walls are a soft green and the ceiling will be a cream colour. We also chose a peel and stick boarder of transportation. It will look so good when it is done. Once the painting is done we plan on steam cleaning the carpet and then put the furniture in. Matt's been taking a lot of pictures of the process which you can find on his facebook. I will try to post some on the blog, but last time it didn't' work for me.

On a more serious note I might as well share with you all a little scare that we faced this week. We met with our OB/GYN on Thursday morning. When he went and examined me he became concerned over my measurements. I am currently in my 28th week, however, I was only measuring at 23 weeks. He immediately faxed a ultrasound requisition to the hospital for me to have done. All day Thursday and that night we of course were worried. I have two incredible bosses who have been so supportive and gave me the time off I needed.

Friday morning we went for the ultrasound and thankfully everything was just fine. Braden is developing well and all his measurements are on target. The ultrasound technician said it's probably because I am so tiny to begin with that I am just not as 'big' as some women at 28 weeks are. We were just so glad that everything is fine.

Friday night Braden got to go for a great party. Matt and I went to a fellow co-workers Stag and Doe and had a great time. Braden danced about in my tummy to the music, and he didn't mind the buffet either :). All my co-workers couldn't stop rubbing my belly and talking to Braden. Annie from work tried to feed my belly some cooler. I must take note to keep her away from Braden until his 19th birthday lol.

Well that is our update for this week. Tomorrow Matt and I have our tour at the hospital and choose our birthing plan. My birthing plan is quite simple.......... I AM GOING FOR THE DRUGS! I'll blog all about it tomorrow or sometime this week.
